Riverview Health is proud to partner with Teter Retreat and Organic Farm, the Hamilton County Community Foundation, Hamilton County Health Department - Indiana, and Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank, along with our valued collaborators through the Hamilton County Wellness Coalition, on a new "Food is Medicine" initiative that connects healthcare and nutrition to support healthier lives.

Recovery and rebuilding takes a long time. If your organization, group, or family would like to provide a meal to our neighbors in Riverwood, here are the dates meals are currently needed.

The Goldenrod is in full bloom! While this may be bad news for some allergy sufferers, it is great news for our bees. Goldenrod and Astor are our most important nectar sources in late summer and early fall. The quality of the Goldenrod bloom can have a lot to do with how well our bees survived the winter.

We had a great day with Women4theLand The Nature Conservancy USDA NRCS Hamilton County (IN) SWCD for the final learning circle of the season. Thank you so much to everyone who organizes this and everyone who attended.

Thanks to community support, we’re expanding access to healthy food. 🥦

From Q2 of last year to Q2 of this year, the Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank distributed 8,013 lbs. of fresh produce, a remarkable 239.5% year-over-year increase.

🌽 Fresh food is essential for helping families build healthier meals, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of the Fishers Farmers Market and Noblesville Farmers Market, along with generous produce donations from local gardeners.
