Thank you, Madisonville. 🧡
We showed up Saturday and our tent wouldn't stay up. That could've been the whole story — but this is Madisonville.
Ms. Wanda of Yum Yum Treats offered to share her tent with us, then called her sister Teamika and tracked down a spare. Because of them, we had cover when the rain came down hard not long after.
Every vendor stuck it out. When the rain cleared, more people came through.
Teamika didn't just lend us a tent — she ran the whole event, hyped up vendors from inside the bar to bring customers to every vendor, and pulled us inside with her at the end so we could catch folks for one last treat before packing up.
Vendors, patrons and customers showed up for us. We showed up for them. Staff and patrons helped us set up and load the car when it was time to go.
That's Madisonville. That's The Cincinnati we know.
Thank you to Ms. Wanda, Teamika, every vendor who shared the space, and everyone who stopped by our table. You turned a rough start into something we'll remember.
