Say hello ( and good riddance!) to Houttuynia cordata, commonly known as Chameleon plant. This fast growing perennial may be pretty but it is an aggressively invasive ground cover.

Unfortunately it has been common among landscapers. Today I removed a literal truck bed as phase one of eradicating it from my client's landscape. I will continue to hand remove this plant throughout the season and treat denser areas to keep it at bay.

We love when clients ask us to remove invasives to allow the natives to thrive!

I'm very blessed to have clients who trust me to tend their precious gardens. This week I've spent a lot of time meticulous hand weeding and pruning gorgeous perennial, herbaceous medicinal gardens, full of natives and pollinator friendly plants!

A gorgeous day to redesign and install a native pollinator garden!

I took out the overgrown berry brambles, rebuild the edging, and planted new perennials with some existing plants the client wanted to incorporate.

These plants will sure be happy with the rain tomorrow!

We love plant shopping days and we love all our clients who want to incorporate natives into their landscaping.

This lovely Baptisia australis is in it's second season, and it is blooming beautifully right now! I grabbed several first year plants for our current client, and I can't wait to watch them flourish in her landscaping!

Today I am seed saving some Cardamine concatenata, or cutleaf toothwort, found in a client's landscape.

We're excited to be building a nursery this season so we can start propagating and growing more natives, like our woodland wildflower friend here!

Admiring the developing buds on this Polemonium reptans, or Jacob's Ladder, I recently installed in a client's landscape.

This native herbaceous perennial loves rich, moist woodland areas. It's going to thrive in the understory of her beautiful fruit trees, nestled near the strawberry patch. The blue-bell flowers will be so lovely in a week or two!
