* ½ cup (45 g) rolled oats (old-fashioned)
* 2½ cups (300 g) whole wheat flour (sifted)
* 1 large egg (lightly beaten)

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine the applesauce, grated apple, and egg.
3. Stir in the rolled oats and allow the mixture to sit for 5 minutes so the oats soften slightly.
4. Gradually add the whole wheat flour and mix until a firm dough forms.
5. Add water as needed, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough is easy to roll.
6. Roll the dough to about ¼ inch (6 mm) thick on a lightly floured surface.
7. Cut into flower or ring-shaped biscuits similar to those shown in the image.
8. Arrange the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
9. Bake for 22–28 minutes until lightly golden and firm.
