There’s one way to survive this heat and humidity…and that’s ice cream! 🍨 The Taste Buds tried Turkish Ice Cream at Beauty and the Bees Honey in Bellevue. Turkish ice cream is unique because it’s made with flour from wild orchid roots so that it has a denser texture and a little more chew (but not in a weird way) than regular ice cream. What makes Beauty and the Bee’s ice cream, gelato, and sorbet even better is that it’s homemade.

What better way to celebrate your mom’s story than to eat lunch in a historic and beautiful building? Café Postale is located in Omaha's Rail & Commerce building, and operated as an essential mail-sorting checkpoint in the United States until the 1970's. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

We loved the sunlight streaming in through the large windows. Our meals were filling, while still feeling light and fresh. See captions for details on what the Taste Buds and our Taste Makers ordered.
