We had a great time exploring the city, meeting new people, and being part of the Columbus Arts Festival.

Yesterday, Alley Baby was honored to bring home another award at Chicken & Beer Fest.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who stopped by the truck, waited in line, voted, shared a kind word, or took a chance on us for the first time.

A huge thank you to the organizers of Chicken And Beer Festival for putting together a fantastic event and creating a platform for small businesses like ours to showcase what we do.

To our team, our friends, our family, and everyone who continues to support this crazy dream—thank you.

I started Alley Baby because I believe food should be made the right way—with quality ingredients, a little creativity, and a whole lot of care.

In a world full of shortcuts, we choose a different path.

We focus on quality ingredients, scratch-made flavors, and unique takes on everyday favorites, all served with the kind of hospitality you'd expect from a neighbor rather than a corporation.

We're grateful, we're humbled, and we're already looking forward to the next one.

🧡 Calling on the Alley Baby family for a little help 🧡

We're getting ready to take the next step with the trailer and finally bring a vision I've had for a long time to life.

As many of you know, Alley Baby got its start at Blink back in 2022. Since then, I've always been drawn to the energy of street food, murals, graffiti, music, lights, and creative spaces that make people stop and look twice.

I've got a direction I'm heading and several mockups already in the works, but I'm looking for the right creative partner to help bring it across the finish line.

I'm looking for:

The goal isn't a cookie-cutter food truck wrap.

I want something bold.

Something that feels like Alley Baby.

Think street food culture, graffiti influences, Blink-inspired creativity, layered textures, vibrant colors, great food, and a truck that feels like an experience before you even order.

And to those of you who found me back in the alley when I was just trying to figure out how to get my food out there — thank you for continuing to come back time and time again.

Alley Baby started on a grill in an Osborne alley — not too far from where The Taste of Cincinnati takes place.

Before the food truck, before the awards… it was dragging a grill — then a tiny gyro-style cart — through the alleys serving whoever would give us a shot

This wasn’t funded
This wasn’t handed to us
This was built from the ground up through rejection, setbacks, failures, long nights, and compiling enough “no’s” until there was finally something solid to stand on

Appreciate everyone who came out this past weekend, as well as yesterday, and gave us grace. Ticket times ran longer than I like— that’s frustrating.

We’re working hard to make sure that doesn’t keep happening: bringing on extra hands, having EVERYTHING prepped ahead of time, putting together more tapered-down menus to help streamline service, and continuing to get better.

When we first got things fired back up, there were days we’d wait hours for a first customer… sometimes being open 8+ hours and not even breaking $100 in sales.

As frustrated as I am with not being better prepared, I’m even more overwhelmed with gratitude for the grace our customers have shown us—trusting us, hanging in there, and giving us the chance to get your orders together as we navigate these growing pains.

It means more than I can put into words.

Thank you. You make us better—truly.

We do not take this lightly.

Preciate y’all… see you out there.
