I’m writing this review immediately after finishing the audiobook and I am just left with a giddy feeling! I adored this one! The banter between characters, the small town vs big city dilemma, and a feel good ending made for a great read!

I am not a doctor with a 125 year old family dynasty to uphold, but somehow Alexis felt so relatable to me. And Daniel was absolutely 𝒔𝒘𝒐𝒐𝒏𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒚! What a 𝐌𝐀𝐍! Bri was hilarious and bad*ss and I can’t wait to read 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺 because I’m so glad that she got her own book!

If you enjoy easy, quick, feel good rom coms, this one is for you! And there is a baby goat in pajamas?!?!

Unique, thought-provoking, poignant. A reminder of how precious life is, to live without regrets, and to care for those around you. This book reads like wandering thoughts across the page, but is so beautifully tied together into a deeply moving message for readers.

Several passages had me 𝒔𝒐𝒃𝒃𝒊𝒏𝒈. The author’s writing was so personal and gripping that even characters that we met for mere pages somehow tugged at my heartstrings. And that last paragraph?!?!

Cute and fun summer read! I really love the banter between characters in Christina Lauren books. Olive was super relatable and her “unlucky” moments were too funny!

I’m not a huge fan of the “miscommunication” trope, which is a large portion of the plot. Olive and Ethan’s “enemies to lovers” was a smidge quick, but the hilarious situations they found themselves in made me giggle!

The epilogue was just the perfect, chaotic ending! Swoon!

•This sweet shop has the most picture perfect pastries!
•I can’t even explain to you how delicious the B.E.C croissant is. Immaculate flaky layers, cheesy goodness…I will absolutely be ordering another one when I come back!
•No matter which coffee you order, you have got to add the vanilla chantilly on top! It was the perfect fluffy and sweet addition to my caramel cold brew.

I went into this book blind and I was so glad that I did because it was a ton of fun!

Top notch audiobook listen for sure! The two narrators were excellent and made me feel like I was right there with them in the 1930s. Both main characters, Birdie and Meg, had such compelling stories and it immediately felt like I knew them somehow. Not to mention side characters like Flossy absolutely stole the show. This is a looooooong one, but the character development, found family dynamics, and comedic timing make it one that you want to pick back up as soon as you’ve put it down!

While this book was a total hoot, I also appreciated the deeper messages regarding the treatment of women and people of color in the 1930s south. You can tell that Stockett did her research and the Author’s Note at the end of the novel really tied everything together.

•If You Tell by Gregg Olsen | 4⭐️
True Crime, Thriller/Mystery. Read like a shocking documentary! Short chapters made this one “unputdownable.” I truly cannot believe these horrible things happened in real life! I would have loved a chapter from the POV of law enforcement.

•Our Perfect Storm by | 4⭐️
Contemporary Romance. A sweet childhood friends to lovers summer read! Good amount of tension with lots of fun flashbacks. Third act miscommunication lost a little bit of steam for me, but what a great ending! Frankie and George could not be any cuter!

•The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren | 4⭐️
Contemporary Romance. Top tier hilarious dialogue. Anna is funny, charming, and a great FMC! Liam’s character development was so endearing. A great beach read with just enough drama and spice.

•Yesteryear by | 4⭐️
Historical Fiction, Thriller/Mystery. Addicting, wild, I couldn’t put it down! I needed to know what happened next even though I didn’t like a single character! The twist made up for a slow middle. This one is seriously relevant in a world ruled by social media influence.

•My latte was smooth and creamy, a great compliment to my croissant.

Surprise! We stopped by one last time before leaving San Diego!
•We couldn’t resist trying more items off of the menu before we left! We grabbed seats overlooking the massive yacht harbor while we sipped!
•The Blondie Mocha is perfect for anyone that loves the sweetness of white chocolate and brown sugar. Add in the nutty flavor of the macadamia and this is a total dream to drink!
