Our second consignment in the Right on Red Sale is Lot 23, Christy’s Boss Hog 2561. He is a standout son of Red U2Q Boss Hog 2161K. Boss Hog 2561 is built with the kind of pedigree and maternal strength that progressive Red Angus programs demand. He is backed by a powerful cow family on both sides of his pedigree and offers an attractive blend of phenotype, structure, and maternal reliability. His dam, Christy’s Confidence Plus 271, is a black-hided daughter of Connealy Confidence Plus out of one of our top donors, Red U2 Jennifer 271B, an exceptional daughter of Red Minburn Copenhagen 3Y. With a 105 MPPA, she has already proven her value in production. Her first calf, a Jumpstart son, was selected to sell in the New York State Right on Red Sale before being removed due to injury, further highlighting the quality of cattle she produces. On the top side, Boss Hog 2561 traces back to the influential Beauty 113Z cow family, known throughout the breed for consistency, fertility, and production. Boss Hog 2561 offers breeders a valuable genetic package — the added maternal strength of the Boss Hog line combined with the outcross advantage of Connealy Confidence Plus in a red hide. The groundwork is already done here for producers looking to inject fresh pedigree, maternal quality, and reliability into their herd.

He sells this Saturday, April 25th, at the Seneca County Fairgrounds in Waterloo, NY.

It’s been a busy few weeks! We have AI’d our heifers, implanted embryos, AI’d all our cows, turned in bulls and had a few vet visits mixed in. We will wait until June before we ultrasound everyone to see what calves we are expecting in 2027. Now we wait for the grass to grow so we can turn everyone out on pasture.

We have two bulls consigned to the Right on Red Sale this year. The first is Lot 3. Christy’s Stockmarket 519N is a son of the highly sought-after Bieber CL Stockmarket E119, a sire whose semen has become increasingly scarce while demand for his genetics continues to grow. Stockmarket progeny are well known for their balanced trait profile, combining calving ease, growth, and carcass merit with the maternal strength Red Angus breeders demand. He is the first calf out of Christy’s Lakme 370, a daughter of Bieber Hard Drive Y120 whose pedigree traces back to the legendary female maker Red Fine Line Mulberry 26P. The Mulberry influence is evident in the cow family, particularly in the beautiful udder quality and maternal consistency.
Christy’s Stockmarket 519N offers the kind of calving ease profile suited for heifers, while still bringing the growth and carcass merit cattlemen expect from the Stockmarket line. With a pedigree stacked with maternal power and breed-leading genetics, this bull presents a balanced package for producers looking to add calving ease, performance, and long-lasting cow families to their program.

He sells April 25th at 1 pm at the Seneca County Fairgrounds. Bid in person or on DVAuction.

Not only did we pick up a new herd bull, we also added this breeding piece to our program! Lipton PVF Primrose 376N was also purchased from the PVF Red Angus Bull & Female Sale. She is a direct daughter out of the Bieber Primrose 107W cow. She is sired by Connealy Craftsman to bring highly sought after outcross genetics. A 107W daughter has been high on our list to add to our herd and we were fortunate enough to be highest bidder and take her home!

We are extremely excited to be adding Lipton PVF Defiant 329N as our new walking herd sire! He was the high selling bull at the 1st annual PVF Red Angus Bull and Female sale. We can’t wait to see what these genetics will produce when crossed with our females.

Congratulations to Jake, Katie, the entire Lipton Family and everyone at Pleasant View Farms! The quality of the cattle was evident throughout the entire offering. It was a fantastic sale that we were happy to have been a part of it.

Red U2 Jennifer 271B was AI’d with Red Lazy MC Smash 41N last spring. We crossed our fingers and hoped she’d give us a heifer calf. And that’s exactly what she did! She ended our group of AI bred cows with this pretty little girl.

Calving season is in full swing! It takes a whole crew to get each calf tagged, navel dipped and weighed.
