Wet Hammock Farm

Wet Hammock Farm U-Pick Blueberries and Blackberries, Peaches, seasonal produce, family farm Other crops are coming soon, Peaches in 2015!!

Wet Hammock is the agritourism side of the Douglass Farm that specializes in U-Pick Blackberries, Blueberries, seasonal produce and hydroponics. We are continually adding new production and crops that grow great in North Central Florida so check in often! U-Pick blackberries are available usually from May-Early July and blueberries are from mid April- May. The Douglass Farm has been in agricultura

l production since before the Civil War, chiefly involved in citrus, turpentine and cattle production. Our family moved here from Lake county Florida in 1918 and operated in the citrus industry until the freezes of the 1980s. Since then we have managed a cow-calf operation and have grown and supplied trees to the landscape industry. Now we have added a U-Pick to our farm operations making available fresh Blueberries and Blackberries direct to consumer!

Wet Hammock Farm will be closed Wednesday, June 3rd.

We’re giving the fields a little extra time to dry and the berries a little extra time to ripen after the recent weather.

We plan to reopen Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather and crop permitting.

Thank you for your patience and support. Taking a little extra time now helps us provide a better picking experience when everyone returns to the field.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Thank you all for another wonderful weekend at Wet Hammock Farm!

We wanted to let everyone know that we will NOT be open on Wednesday, June 3rd.

The recent rain has left the fields very wet, and we’re taking a few days to let the ground dry out and give the blueberries and blackberries a little more time to ripen. We expect this extra time to result in even better picking when we reopen this weekend

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with the weather and the crops to provide the best possible picking experience.

We currently expect to reopen:

Saturday, June 6, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Sunday, June 7, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

We are also hopeful that flower picking will be available this weekend. As always, flower availability depends on weather and field conditions, but we are keeping our fingers crossed and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the flower field.

Blackberries – $5 per pound
Blueberries – $4 per pound
Flowers – $10 per cup (we provide the cup and clippers)

As always, please check our page before visiting for the latest updates on weather, field conditions, and available picking dates.

We look forward to seeing everyone and sharing another weekend of Wet Hammock grown produce, grown and picked by our family.

**Update for Sunday May 31, 2026**

We will be open tomorrow, Sunday, May 31st from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, weather allowing, for U-Pick blueberries and blackberries.

A quick update on conditions: blueberry picking is looking very good, but blackberry picking may be a little light tomorrow as we are between flushes. We expect plenty more blackberries and blueberries to be available in the coming weeks.

Due to muddy conditions in the flower fields, there will be no flower picking this weekend. We want to give the area time to dry out and avoid damage to the fields.

We appreciate everyone's support and look forward to seeing you at the farm tomorrow.

**UPDATE FROM THE FIELD PLEASE READ**

Good morning, friends!

We got more rain overnight, and while we’re grateful for every drop, it did leave us with some very muddy conditions this morning. We know many of you have been looking forward to flower picking, and we’re sorry to say the flower field won’t be open today or tomorrow.

The good news? The blueberries and blackberries are looking great, and we have fresh-picked cantaloupes ready to head home with you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we let the fields recover. Farming keeps us humble, and sometimes Mother Nature gets the final vote. We appreciate all of you and hope you’ll come spend a little time on the farm with us today.

See you soon!

**Important Crop Update for Saturday, May 30th**

We’ll be open tomorrow morning starting at 9am with blackberries and blueberries ready for picking!

The flowers, however, are a little touch and go at the moment. We’re expecting rain overnight and won’t know exactly what the field looks like until morning.

**If flowers are your main reason for visiting, please check our page before heading out for the latest update.**

The berries are looking great and should be well worth the trip.

Thank you all for supporting our little farm. We appreciate every visit and can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow.

What a wonderful weekend at the farm. Thank you to everyone who came out to pick with us — our longtime regulars, familiar faces, and so many new families who have recently moved to the area. It was such a relaxed, happy weekend, and we truly loved getting to spend it with all of you.

We’re incredibly grateful for the rain, even if six inches all at once is a lot for the fields to handle. We do want to apologize for the flower conditions today, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and kindness.

Tomorrow we’ll be evaluating the fields and walking everything carefully so we can make sure we’re able to give everyone the best possible picking experience this week. While we had hoped to continue opening Wednesday evenings regularly, this week’s Wednesday hours are not guaranteed as we assess conditions. We’ll post tomorrow evening with any updates on Wednesday hours and field conditions once we know more.

We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we remember and honor those who served and sacrificed for our country.

Thank you all again for such a lovely weekend at the farm

Good morning and happy Sunday!

Just a reminder, We have lots of beautiful blackberries ripe and ready for picking this morning.

If you’ve been thinking about blackberry cobbler, jam, pies, muffins, or just eating them straight out of the bucket on the drive home… this is your sign.

We’ll also have delicious Wet Hammock grown produce.

Come spend a little time outside with us before the holiday weekend winds down.

The blackberries are plentiful and sweet, the zinnias are absolutely showing off right now, the sunflowers are glowing, and the flower field feels like something out of a dream lately.

Slow down for a little while.
Pick flowers.
Take photos.
Gather berries.
Wander the rows.
Grab some fresh produce from the garden (we won’t tell anyone you didn’t pick it yourself).
Pretend your only responsibility is choosing your favorite zinnia.
