To prepare your own baking powder, you will need to combine 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar, and 1 tablespoon of arrowroot powder or cornstarch in a small bowl. Whisk these ingredients together to ensure they are fully incorporated, then transfer the mixture to an airtight container. It is essential to prepare small batches at a time to ensure freshness, as this mixture does not contain preservatives. To verify the freshness of the baking powder, mix 1/2 teaspoon of it with 1/4 cup of hot water; it should bubble vigorously, otherwise it is not fresh.

Fresh out of oven is my very first Sourdough bread ever, and I'm bringing the heat with a Hot Honey, Jalapeno and Cheese Sourdough Bread, because my family likes a little spice. It’s been ages since I last baked or made anything treat related because, well, moving is the ultimate party pooper. As a family, we’ve been deprived of Nana G’s popular chocolate cake since before we moved, so today I decided to whip one up for the fam, because let’s be real, they have good taste in desserts. They’re practically drooling in anticipation, I’m pretty sure I heard someone say ‘can I have a piece yet?' I had no idea how much I missed making my treats until now, it’s like my inner baker was throwing a major hissy fit.

The cake is 3 layers of decadent delicious, moist chocolate cake with fluffy vanilla frosting. My fan favorite is the chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. It’s always a big hit! 😋

Are you a fan of chocolate and peanut butter? I specialize in creating homemade, from-scratch moist chocolate cupcakes that are a favorite among my customers. These cupcakes are filled with peanut butter icing and are frosted with chocolate icing and half of a peanut butter cup.
