We’ve debated even sharing this because, honestly, it’s hard to admit when things just didn’t go the way you hoped they would.

Our farm didn’t do well this year. Not at all.
We planted, we worked, we prayed, we waited… and despite all the hours, sweat, money, and love we poured into it, the harvest just wasn’t there. 😭

And today, looking at our pumpkin patch and realizing we only got ONE pumpkin from the entire patch really brought it all home. One little pumpkin. 🎃

It may sound silly to some, but when you farm, you know that every seed carries a little bit of hope with it. You watch it grow, you picture the harvest, you make plans around it. So when the crops fail, it’s more than just losing vegetables—it feels like losing a little piece of all the work and hope you put into the season.

We’re not going to pretend we aren’t discouraged. We are. We’re down in the dumps, and this season has definitely tested us. 💔
But we’re reminding ourselves that a bad harvest doesn't mean God is finished with our story. 🌱🙏🏻

“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”

So for now, we’re going to be thankful for the little bit we did get, learn from what this year has taught us, and keep moving forward.

There will be another planting season. Another chance. Another field. Another seed. 🌱
