What a day lots of sap hauling last load passed the hour to make it a new day. The universe makes you work for maple. On top of the huge run the truck had a break down. Shout out to Seth and Paige @ Morning side service for bailing me out as I had to travel. Had a vacuum pump have a moment that stumped us for a few. Silver lining Piper will be certified in diaphragm pumps by the end of this sugar season. Does that count as home schooling? Mother Nature waits for no one!

The science of making syrup never disappoints. We made a safety upgrade to the stack was a fail. A trip up on a wet roof in the dark was not on the bingo card. All was well after that trip. We had a pretty impressive fire for a minute. Tonight we got a little bottling help. As always everyone is welcome anytime.

Spent yesterday fighting with ice under a road. Not sure what happened but hopefully we are past it. Piper was a rocks star helper should have took a pic but we finished by flash light. Here is hoping we won. Today looks like a good day hopefully we will see some finished product today or tomorrow. Mother Nature is a tease!
