"I have been complaining about bacon for a while. I remember bacon when it splattered, and the only thing that was left in the pan was oil from the pork itself. Today, bacon leaves more water than oil and sometimes a strange color, but not with North Country Smokehouse, This bacon, I tried for the first time today and I have found real bacon once again. It splattered and didn’t leave funky colors in the pan. It smelled amazing and it tasted even better. If you want real bacon go to North Country Smokehouse for the way bacon used to be." 🥓

Our Organic Applewood Smoked made it to the top, dubbed "chef-quality". 👩🏻‍🍳

Wirecutter researched more than 30 brands and narrowed the field to 22.

The tasting was led by a James Beard Foundation –winning food writer with nearly 30 years in the field, who once wrote the butchery column at the Wall Street Journal. The rest of the panel: a kitchen team trained in sensory evaluation at Rutgers University . These people taste for a living.

Six bacons made it out. Our Organic Applewood Smoked was the one they filed under "chef-quality" with a clear signal of the smokehouse tradition.
