It’s Juneteenth—take some time to learn and donate to The Okra Project (https://www.theokraproject.com), a collective that provides resources and home-cooked meals to Black trans people. We also wrote a little blog post about okra’s uses and it’s history in the US: https://www.pomona.edu/farm/farm-blog/posts/okra-how-it-got-united-states-how-grow-it-and-how-eat-it
The Okra Project is a collective that seeks to address the global crisis faced by Black Trans people by bringing home cooked, healthy, and culturally specific meals and resources to Black Trans People wherever we can reach them.
