The temperature dropped and there’s a NEW moon tonight! Our plan is to rest and reset with a piece of cozy cheese and herbal libation! We just got our wheel of the famed Chällerhocker of Walter Rass Halloween edition! Pair it with a bottle of Gut Oggau Gut Feeling n/a botanical beverage made with herbs and plants that grow around their iconic biodynamic vineyard!

Despite what the weather FEELS like it IS fall! Is Jacobe Varela holding a gourd or is it Mimolette?!

Lydia and Marnie literally just left Moro Formaggi dal 1930 in the Veneto region of Italy where they got to see how Sottocenere al Tartufo is aged! This truffle cheese is further refined by aging in a special blend of ash, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, fennel + licorice!

We have a beautiful wheel of Sottocenere in the case in Claremont right now! Grab a wedge and make yourself a Spritz (it’s already evening in Italy so just pretend you’re here!)

Westcombe Cheddar is in the case all the way from Somerset, England! Westcombe This raw, clothbound cheddar is made from milk so fresh it’s still warm from the cows when it arrives at the creamery. Aged for about a year and half, it’s known as the “five mile cheddar” because you’re still tasting it five miles later. It tastes of brown butter, has a slight tang, and a mellow grassiness. Celebrate October with a wedge and some margaret greenwood bourbon apple butter!

We finally got our hands on some Urban Stead Cheese!! Lydia and Marnie first tasting ‘Nati Gouda as volunteers at the Los Angeles International Competitions earlier this year and have been trying to get it ever since! ‘Nati Gouda (named for Cincinnati, Ohio where the cheese is made) won 3rd place Best in Show at ACS this year out of 1,600 entries and we think tastes like the best Alfredo sauce! Street Ched is a clothbound cheddar that also took a top award at ACS is giving sweet maui onion popcorn! Both cheeses are made with Jersey cows milk giving them a rich buttery quality! Help us welcome them to Claremont!

Twinning mongers! We just opened the most BEAUTIFUL wheel of Alp Blossom! She could win a beauty contest! Made by Albert Kraus in Bavaria with raw milk from Brown Swiss cows and completely covered in gorgeous flowers including marigold, cornflower, rose and lavender among other herbs! It’s smooth and creamy with a floral savory finish!
