If you know Orville, you know he’s the kind of guy who shows up for his people. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.

Orville was recently diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer and is beginning a fight that no one should have to face alone. As he and his family navigate treatment and everything that comes with it, we want to surround them with the same kind of support Orville has given so many others.

We’ve created T M F bracelets, meaning “That’s My Friend,” as a simple way to stand with O and remind him just how many people are in his corner.

With Color Breed Congress coming up, I was reminded of the memory that stands out to me the MOST from our Color Breed Congress experience.
🌪️ Two years ago the weather got REAL western. Ryan and I were obsessively watching the weather just like everyone else. We received confirmation from our Captain that a tornado had touched down in our county and our Search and Rescue Team was put on standby. We had no idea what to do with that time. We were supposed to be showing soon, but had no idea if we should hustle and get ready for our class or if we were about to drop everything for a SAR callout. We hadn’t really known Tina Dawson for long, we had just casually met at a couple shows that year. We were walking down the alley and she asked if we were showing soon. We told her the situation. She instantly offered to help with our horses “anything at all, even if you need me to show them, just let me know what you need and I’ll do it”. You know what? She meant it. She had nothing to gain from that. It was truly just to help and support us. I’ll never forget that. That was very cool. Shout out to you, Tina. 🍻

Went to see Dr. Ed Gilsleider DVM and the rest of the folks at Animal Medical Center and got the “ok” to take off the cone of shame. We had to celebrate with a Pup Cup from Dutch Bros! Rookie said it was the best day ever. 🐾

It’s a lot of work being the “Boss Mare”. Sadie doesn’t currently need a drink of water, but she DOES need to stand guard and make sure NO ONE else can have a drink of water 🤦‍♀️.

Persavero had quite the resume. An own son of Bully Bullion, “Peso” hit the track and earned an AQHA register of merit for his Speed Index early in his life. He later became a barrel horse, a roping horse, a ranch horse, and then a Police Horse. Peso was owned by his former owner Jordan for most of his life, they were buddies! We were honored that Jordan entrusted us with Peso in 2022.
Peso served with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol Unit until his final ride in 2023.
“Uncle Peso” was great to our babies in his retirement years! As sweet as he was, he still made sure to keep the young stud in line.
Rest easy, big guy. You will be missed 💙
