Fun night with Orleans County 4-H at the open house! Two of my Goat Buster "kids" interacted with the families who visited the table and played a "Goat Tycoon" game.

On a happy note though. The sugar bush is clean and there are no more limbs on lines.

This is not to brag. This is a major blessing of ours that although tiring, frustrating, sometimes painful, we have the privilege to do. God has blessed our home with space to grow a garden and me the insane idea to can it all (or most) plus give it away! Here is what I have canned to date (I think):

14 pints baked beans
27 pints peaches
33 pints diced tomatoes
28 pints chicken stock
5 half pints cowboy candy
6 half pints sweet relish
15 pints sweet pickles
33 quarts marinara
9 pints tomato soup
24 quarts freezer bags green beans
6 half pints hot pepper jelly
13 pints zucchini tomato soup

There are frozen dinners and desserts not added to the list, plus what we ate (didn't track that 😉). God is so good.

People like to post pictures of picture perfect gardens. Mine is 60' x 150' so "pretty" isn't possible. Here is what my garden looks like towards the end of the season. Just in case anyone wants to feel better about themselves! 🤪

Last batch of peaches from my tree (with the last? batch of marinara cooking in the background...we'll see) that I canned. That makes 27 pints this year... plus the quick bread, ripe that have been and will be eaten, desserts... phew. And yes, I have white, free stone peaches.
