I regularly plan my meals a few weeks at a time. However, with gardening season I tend to eat according to what's growing and not plan as much. And because we're doing outside stuff up until dinner, I find myself spastically trying to pull something together last minute (that or telling everyone to fend for themselves, but we're feral enough 🫣). So, this year I'm making a concerted effort to have some crockpot meals frozen ahead of time, and quick put together options in jars. And for good measure, I made a small batch of chicken stock.

Meat birds done. All cleaned up and put away. Their stink remains, but not for long.

Took care of my roosters overgrown spurs and mtg soon thought they'd make great toe extentions for his chicken Barb. 🤣

Kept some of the back bones from butchering so I could make stock. 2 batches down! One casualty in the pressure canner 🫤
