What’s up Facebook. It’s been a while since I’ve posted a video on YouTube and that’s due to a bunch of reasons but the main one being I’ve decided to make a dedicated Blacksmithing channel over on YouTube. It’s been a bit of work to get that up and running, but I’m finally posting videos on it. Currently, I’m posting my old videos from my farm channel to give me some breathing room in the hopes of being able to work on some big projects and be able to post consistently once a week. If you guys could subscribe to it that would mean a lot to me. I need 50 subscribers to be able to livestream on it.

Hopefully life gets a little less hectic so I can get back to at least couple of of demonstrations at The Quasdorf Museum before the year is out as well!

We’re up and running at the Civil War reenactment in forest city. But if you want to see another blacksmith demonstration stop out Quasdorf blacksmith museum in Dows to watch Gary. then head over to the park for corn days

NEXT WEEKEND COMING TO HERITAGE PARK! FOREST CITY
Final preparations are now finalized celebrating an important part of our 250 years of America with the "History Alive Festival" coming Saturday and Sunday. It's a family event of fun and learning from a large group of people who will take you back to the 1860's and the Civil War! Visitors will see, hear, feel and smell the environment of an encampment of the battlefield. Seminars in the Feature Building will be held where Deb Gage will portray the first Army Surgeon experiences in the Civil War (You got to see this) and Gayle Melcher from Osage will take you through the experiences of going from a citizen to the battlefields of the war!
On Sunday morning a Civil War Church Service will be held in the 1890 Beaver Creek country Church at 9:30!
The log cabins of the 1860's will be open as well as the new Hall of Heroes Military Museum with Civil War memorabilia! Also our new remodeled 1900's playground will be open for the kids!
Come celebrate our country with your family! We, as well as a lot of Civil War enactors, look forward to sharing our Heritage at Heritage Park Highway 69 south Forest City Iowa!!!
