Jody and I, along with our team at Twin Eagle Dairy, are honored to be selected as the 2024 Minnesota Milk “Producer of the Year”. This wonderful video showcases the vision, dedication, and hard work that goes into creating nature’s most perfect food every day of the year. Our farm was fortunate to be spared of any major damage from the storm that hit the Clarissa area hard. Over the last couple of days, we joined the impressive amount of volunteers to help assist with storm clean up. The chainsaws have been humming as everyone works to clear trees that went down. It's difficult to see all the property damage in our communities, but amazing to see everyone stepping up to help and doing what they can for their neighbors!

Our old reliable tractors are lined up for sale in a Steffes online auction April 5: https://steffesgroup.com/Auction/AuctionDetails?Name=central-todd-county-equipment-auction-33911&Sort=Catalog%20Order&Page=1&PageSize=10 The Allis 7060 we bought on an auction near Goodridge, MN back about 2000. The John Deere 4230 I bought at an auction near Appleton in 1985 in the depths of the farm crisis. That has been a wonderful tractor and carried an enormous load for many years. The Allis 8050 we bought from Glen and Darcy at Prairie Implement in 1997. It was so reliable and mixed feed every day for so many cows over many years! But it is time for them to go to a new home where they can enjoy a little more life!

The role includes managing the movement of cows to and from the milking parlor. Includes grooming and cleaning cow beds and alleys, assisting with delivery and care of newborn calves, and management of cow feed. Must assist with milking in the parlor when needed by team member. Must be able to operate a skidloader, be physically able to walk throughout the dairy buildings and handle medium duty physical tasks during an eight hour shift. Job applicant is responsible for milking all cows through a modern milking parlor in one of three eight hour shifts each day. Must have patience with animals, be physically able to meet the demands of prepping cows, attaching milking units, and walking throughout the shift, while maintaining a tight schedule. Employee is expected to maintain a clean work environment. No education or work experience is required, but is helpful. Employee will have a shift partner, but will primarily work alone.
