So exciting!! Nothing better than a warm biscuit in the morning.

Good morning neighbors! So we are adding something new and exciting to the front porch starting August 17th. For now on Mondays ONLY, we will be offering breakfast sandwiches that you can grab and go in our new commercial food warmer!

That means you will have made from scratch biscuits with no added, unnecessary ingredients, local meat from Southern Songbird Farm, and local eggs from Avalon Farm LLC .

If this goes well we may add more mornings but we know Mondays are rough. Perfect for grabbing on the way to work or school!
Please help us spread the word.

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 We are fully restocked on all beef as of today, 8/7/26, and will be on Depot Street at 8am tomorrow! Come check out our new beef cheddar brats and ground beef patties. See you there!

We picked the remainder of the green beans tonight and pulled the plants. Thankfully, our Garden Disposal Squad was at the ready! 🫡🐷

Bonnie just popping in to say Happy Cow Appreciation Day! We sure do appreciate our Irish Dexters. Here’s some fun cattle facts:

Calf= baby bovine up to one year old
Heifer= a young female who has not had a calf
Cow= a mature female that has had at least one calf
Steer= a male who cannot breed (castrated)
Bull= a mature, intact male who can breed females

We say “cow” in general, but it does have a specific definition as you can see. Some people say “a head of cattle” or even “a beef”. We think saying cow is just fine. Bonnie says they don’t mind. 😘

We’re BACK!!! After dealing with freezer issues and a handful of farm drama, we’re restocked with all your favorites-Tucker’s Tasty Treats hearts, soap trios, and the best pastured pork, chicken, and beef you can buy. Come see Doug on Depot Street between rain showers. You’ll find him under the canopy.

So proud to have been a part of this market since 2015. We had to step away a couple of years for health reasons, but we’re so glad to be back home. Amazing market and amazing people.

Just taking a moment in the field for my annual PSA. We are in prime agricultural season right now. I get behind a tractor and/or implement almost daily. SLOW. DOWN. I love helping move hay every year, but I always hold my breath. People are impatient. People are rude. People are distracted. Doug had his truck completely totaled by an Amazon driver two years ago pulling out in front of him with a full load of hay. TRUCKS AND TRACTORS AND TRAILERS CANNOT STOP ON DIME. Please remember we are somebody’s sons and moms and PawPaws and aunts and loved ones. Give us space and we’ll get out of your way as soon as we can. 🚜
