Hi everyone, looks like we will back in business a little early. We will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 12-6 and most days from 9-6 until it gets cold. The strawberries are hitting peak production so for those of you who want large numbers, now’s your chance. Garlic is ready! Corn and beans are finished but we still have plenty of onions, purple hulled - pink eyed peas, cherry and slicing tomatoes, pickling and slicing cucumbers. Please call or text to inquire or to let us know when you’re headed out so we can be sure there are ripe berries that day. They’ve been going fast.

Hi all,
Just a quick note to say thank you to all our strawberry friends for your support of our farm. It’s been a slow start but within the next 2 weeks all 4 of our large strawberry beds will be at full production. Plenty of veggies and the most urgently in need of picking are the green and yellow beans, tomatoes and the wonderful white sweet corn.
Schedule updates:
This Saturday (tomorrow) we will be opening late at 1 pm.
We will be closed next Thursday, through Saturday (September 3-5) for a family event but we will be open again on Sunday Sept 6.
As always, we know many of you come from sandpoint and farther so please call us before coming to ensure availability and that someone will be here to help you when you arrive. 208-290-4431.

Bell peppers. Perfect when green. Beginning to ripen-not so much. Drip irrigated planted through plastic. Definitely not maggots. Sun scald? Fungal disease? TIA

Hi fellow gardeners, wondering what’s going on with my bell peppers. When green they’re perfect. At the moment they begin to ripen they get these spots on the bottom which ultimately become soft and gray. Any ideas on what the issue is?

Hi there Strawberry friends! Well, we asked what you wanted for u-pick veggies and we were able to plant most of what you asked for. We timed the plantings so that it would all be ready about mid August and the plan worked! The strawberries have been slow but they’re finally here. We are only seeing big numbers in 2 of our 4 beds but the new plants have time of fruit which should be ready for picking in a couple of weeks if not sooner.
In the meantime, we need you lovely people to come stock up on these veggies for canning and fresh use! Here’s what’s available and the pricing:

$4.00/pound for strawberries when available (which is now most days)

$3.50/pound for White, Red and Walla Walla sweet onions, green and yellow beans, pickling and slicing cucumbers, cherry and slicing tomatoes.

$0.75/per ear for sweet corn

$12.00/per bag for Thai and Italian Basil.

Garlic is ready!! $18/pound (3-5 bulbs per pound depending on bulb size. Averages 5-6 large cloves per bulb)

Hi all, we have strawberries available for picking. As promised, we also have veggies ready for U-pick (cherry tomatoes, green beans, yellow wax beans, onions, pickling and slicing cucumbers, dill w**d, basil, and fresh flowers. Sweet corn, slicing tomatoes, purple-hulled pink-eyed field peas and garlic are almost ready and the new strawberry plants will be kicking in later this month with lots of new berries forming now! We also have a variety of jams and garlic scape powder (light garlic taste for meat and veggie dishes as well as soup).
We’re open 9-7 today(Sunday), Tues, Wed, Thus, Sat. We’re closed Monday and Friday this week. Our Porta potty is being delivered on Monday so that will be available for guests.
As always, please give us a call to check availability before heading out. The ripe ones are going fast.
$4.00/pound for strawberries and veggies, $6.00/pound for currants. We provide containers.

The Porta potty won’t be here until next week, but the Cenex and Clark Fork has public restrooms as does the Heron Store if you’re coming from that direction See you at the farm!
