The legendary Home Ranch, historically run as a guest ranch, is now a private working cattle ranch and horse training facility and is CURRENTLY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. Located 17 miles from Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the ranch is based in the heart of Elk River Valley, beside the banks of the wild and scenic Elk River, with the storybook crest of Hahn’s Peak to the North, the majestic peaks of the

Mount Zirkel Wilderness to the East, and the purple mountain majesty of the Sand Mountains to its West. The ranch is currently undergoing a soulful and inspiring revival.

Meet Fleetwood! He’s a barn favorite here, and standing 18 hands means he’s sure to make an impression. With his kind demeanor, this gentle giant loves to make friends of all shapes and sizes – particularly with our barn cats. His classic Friesian look is stunning, but don’t let the good looks fool you. He loves to head out on the trails, go for leisurely ba****ck rides, pull the carriage and get up and go in the dressage ring. Next time you’re at the ranch, make sure to stop by and give him some love.
