Real food for real people...
That's what this building stands for.
We've put everything we have into this. The store is dried in, the road and drainage is fixed, the well & septic are installed. A lot of the physical work has been accomplished by our blood, sweat and tears.
We've also been working nonstop the last year searching for the best, cleanest products at the lowest possible prices we can get them.
We're doing all this so that we can share the savings with our community.
We're not a huge company with a huge budget and a huge building. We're not going to be able to stock 5 different kinds of the same item. But I can promise you, we're vetting every single one and only choosing the best.
We understand why people balk at buying organic. We understand being jaded and frustrated about the impossibility of affording food not grown with pesticides, herbicides, chemical fertilizers.
But it SHOULDN'T be impossible.
Real food should feed everyone who buys groceries.
Granted, some things are just inherently more, and we're not going to be able to sell under cost. But we're not going to over-charge you either.
When we see other markets up-charging 3 and 4 hundred percent on products that we get to see the behind the scenes wholesale cost on... As small business owners experiencing the fear of 'what if this doesn't work, what if people don't come', we understand the pull of getting as much back as possible to cover the bills and then some, but.
But we want our neighbors and friends and community to EAT REAL FOOD.
We want to see a change in their health, their outlook as they experience food that is healing to their bodies, not inflammatory and harmful. We want to be the place they can go to find cheer, helpfulness and a common cause of journeying towards real health together.
The #1 goal is to bring real food to our community.
But the #2 goal is to share knowledge one on one, build each other up (Ephesians 4:29), supply exceptional goods (not just food) at affordable prices and bring in neighbors, friends and professionals for 'porch talks' where we can all find community and wisdom in the same place.
Please join us in this mission to make our community healthy.
