Let’s pick up where we left off yesterday with our butternut squash seed oil! This oil contains only one ingredient and that’s the oil that comes directly from roasted, pressed squash seeds! The squash are harvested right here in the USA from the Finger Lakes Region. For ideas on how to use this flavorful oil, we put together some ideas on the picture below!

Our Butternut Squash Seed Oil is an all -natural, expeller-pressed, unrefined oil for flavoring or finishing your dish. It is pure oil made from the first pressing of 100% non-GMO butternut squash seeds. It has a nutty, buttery flavor similar to that of toasted peanuts or cashews. It is extremely high in healthy mono and polyunsaturated fats and a rich source of vitamin E.
It Pairs well with roasted vegetables, grilled meats and fish. It is also a fun and tasty alternative to butter over popcorn, mashed potatoes or polenta. Smoke point is 425 degrees.

Happy National Olive Oil Day from all of us here at 13 Olives!

It’s National Olive Day, so here’s some olive lore for your feed:

1. Green olives and black olives aren’t different species.
They can literally be the same olive at different stages of ripeness.

2. Olives are fruit.
Technically, they’re stone fruit. So yes, olive oil is fruit juice!

3. Extra virgin olive oil is the least processed kind of olive oil.
It’s made by mechanically extracting oil from fresh olives—no chemical refining required. Basically: olives → crush → liquid gold.

Happy National Olive Day to the tiny fruit doing the absolute most.

3. Lemon (1)
4. 1/2 c of EVOO from 13 Olives 😁
5. Feta Cheese (3 oz)

🫒 A satisfying, delicious dinner doesn’t always require use of a stove and can be ready in minutes!
