Better Work, Fueled by Fresh Harvest! 🫑

A lesser known facet of our work is bringing farm-fresh food & hands-on wellness experiences to workplaces across ATL! Tyler and Andrew on our team lead our Workplace Wellness program, offering Pop-Up Farmers Markets, Lunch & Learns, Tabling Events, and more.

Last month, we got to host a Pop-Up Farmers Market for the great employees at Fulton County (Fulton County Government), where folks could select seasonal, fresh produce like peaches, jalapeños, Vidalia onions, and Italian sweet peppers to take home with them!

What’s a cover crop? 🤨 And why are they so important for organic farmers like Nicolas and Jeni of Crystal Organic Farm?

Cover crops are plants grown between growing seasons to protect, replenish, and nourish the soil. They’re especially important for organic farmers because they naturally suppress pesky weeds, without relying on harmful pesticides! 🌱🚫🧪

At the end of the day, farmers are business owners, so they’re always looking out for the health of their most valuable asset: their soil!

Healthy soil —> good food on our tables.

For Matt Fry of Fry Farm, it all starts with the soil. Before farming, Matt actually worked for a pest control company. That’s where he first saw the impact synthetic pesticides can have on people, soil, and the environment. Ultimately, it inspired him to make a change and return to his family’s farm full time.

Today, Matt farms alongside his parents, Steve and Vicky, at their certified organic farm in Bethlehem, Georgia. Around Fry Farm, you’ll find bees, spiders, salamanders, snakes >> a whole ecosystem humming along in harmony.​ That’s how it should be!

Our team tried a viral snack...
