UP & BACC Farm

UP & BACC Farm A small veteran family owned farm that is focused on creating high quality fruits, vegetables, and meat that is affordable for all.

UP & BACC Farm is a small scale farm providing high quality meat, vegetables and herbs to the local Clarksville, Tennessee and surrounding communities. We complete this through the ethical and environmental actions that will foster positive stewardship on our land, the animals on it, products produced on it which will ultimately improve the health and wellness of the individuals consuming our pro

ducts. Our business started with the simple phrase; How do we make the land work for us rather than us just sitting on the land. This phrase was presented about 3 years ago in a simple conversation about the future. In June, 2024 Daniele was at a local farm talking to another farmer about how they got started. Since then it has been a journey of discovery and learning. Since June, 2024 we have been connected with the Montgomery county water and conservation department which led us to the UT extension which set us up with a local mentor and we continue to grow and expand. The greatest treasure we have experienced to this point has been the warmth and sincerity that we have encountered through many of the fellow ranchers/farmers and organizations has been their willingness to help. Our greatest challenge has been finding the organizations to get in touch with and navigating the constant barrage of government bureaucracy.

Slowing down is so important! Take the time to appreciate what you have, the people in your life and the world around you. Just some of the things I have come to truly appreciate since staring this journey. Is it hard? Yes! Is it worth it? Heck yes!

Does anyone love w**d whacking? I absolutely despise it with every bit of my being. Today after my youngest and husband fixed the w**d whacker I had the honor of taking care of 7200 linear feet of pasture fencing. **dwhacking

Adventures in cowing! I know that is not a real term but sometimes having a farm and doing all that we do just doesn’t seem real. We did preg checks (pregnancy tests) on our ladies today. We only got two of the three through the shoot today. But we also have two confirmed pregnant. Chapo decided that he wanted to check out the sweep so we decided to let him. He went into the sweep at 3:30ishpm needless to say we had to push him through at 8pm. For all the animal activists that are about to get upset with me this was his first time through our shoot. He is fine and back with his girls eating and drinking. Everything is a learning process for the cows and for us.
