Had the privilege of seeing this beautiful king snake ( Lampropeltis getula) this morning.Extremely beneficial snake and very rare especially this size. They eat venomous snakes and rodents.

This is one of our two supplemental fields to help our girls make it through different times during spring and summer when nothing is in bloom. This particular field is about one acre and was planted with all native wildflowers. Our wildflower mix was spec do ically blended for pollinators based on our zone, soil type and native wildflowers by Garrett Wildflowers out of Smithfield NC, great people to work with.

Had some unwelcome visitors last night. Good thing we built the gated community for the girls.
