Location, location, location…

Did you know that peanuts are grown in various regions around the world? Primarily in warm, sub-tropical and tropical climates. The specific peanut growing regions can vary depending on the type of peanut (Virginia, Spanish, Valencia, or Runner).

Eastern North Carolina provides a sweet spot for growing peanuts offering a humid climate and sandy loamy soil. Sachs is located in the heart of NC’s growing region making our products fresh from the farm! This access creates a vertically integrated system ensuring the highest quality from farm to self.

Scope of work:
* Maintain and service Hassen package machines.
* Maintain and service roaster ovens.
* Maintain and service belt conveyor and bucket elevator maintenance. Ie: Inspect conveyors belts and buckets for signs of damage. Replace drive belts. Inspect motor and gearbox. Monitor gear oil.
* Maintain and service shaker tables.
* Maintain and service stretch wrap machines.
* Maintain and service case sealers and tap heads.
* Maintain and service pneumatic systems. Ie: kentral valves, air cylinders, regulators and actuators.
* General maintenance on tractors, bobcat, forklifts and truck.
* Air filter service and replacement.
* Ability to troubleshoot, find and correct issues in a timely manner while production is running.
* Air filter replacement.

Candidate Qualities:
* Ability to troubleshoot, find and correct issues in a timely and efficient manner while production is running.
* High problem-solving skills a must.
* Punctuality

The world was all abuzz recently when the results of a study on the novel epicutaneous immunotherapy (aka EPIT or the “peanut patch”) to treat toddlers with peanut allergy was published in The New England Journal of Medicine called Phase 3 Trial of Epicutaneous Immunotherapy in Toddlers with Peanut Allergy. 🥜👶🏼
