Dotty had her baby today!! A cute little girl. That’s 4 and babies in 9 days! Three girls, one boy.
Mr. Beans was a busy little guy. One more goat to go but I think she has another 3-4 weeks to go. No idea when she’s due. We thought Mr. Beans was too short but I guess he is a determined little dude.

Spotty is a mommy once again. Two health babies born last night. Black and white is a girl and white and brown spots is a girl. Cute little Nigerian dwarfs. First pic is Spotty around 6pm when I went in for the night. Then around 8:17 pm she had them.

I am proud to introduce to you our new ram lamb for next years flock. Meet “Liam” he’s a week old half Australian white half Katahdin hair sheep. I wish I could find some pure Australian whites but they are hard to come by in the states. For size reference the lamb Liam is standing next to is a Katahdin/dorper cross born 1/27/26. They are almost the same size except Felicia is much fatter from grazing.

Out of concern that gas prices are just going to rise and rise I filled my truck all the way up today. Cost $152 and that was with the truck having about 1/3 tank of gas in it. Yes it has dual tanks but I use both tanks almost when I take sheep to sell. Now I’m stuck with the concern do I sell all this years sheep now, take a big loss or cross my fingers gas doesn’t double or triple in price soon. This gas cost not only effects me selling them but me feeding them because I have to go buy their feed and hay I supplement them with. This may push me out of the sheep business.

Separated the early season lambs from their moms who were already weaning them today. This way the moms can move out to the back field to graze again and not risk coyotes getting there babies but the poor lambs crying is so loud. All I can think of is this scene from “Silence of the Lambs”
