We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who visited us throughout our last few weeks and those who joined us for our retirement ceremony on Saturday August 30, which was skillfully organized by Representative Larry Lambert.

Our last day was especially wonderful, a day filled with cherished moments and stories shared among family and friends. After 51 remarkable years of serving Claymont and enjoying the loyalty of our valued customers, we will greatly miss seeing everyone who shared their lives and made memories with us.

We are now on to the next chapter of our lives.

We're retiring.

You can come see JoAnn and Richard Thursday the 21st, Saturday the 23rd and Tuesday the 26th. Stan and Kim will be here the other days until the end of the month.

Being a small business has its challenges. We love being part of the Claymont community. As you may know, a few months ago the motors to our air conditioning unit were vandalized and parts stolen. Thankfully, we were able to get the unit replaced without interruption to business. Last weekend, the outside motor that runs our walk-in refrigerator was vandalized and parts stolen. As we work to repair/replace the recent thefts, things may look somewhat different, cold sodas and drinks are in a different area and we still have milk eggs cheese and other products we had in our dairy case, just ask us.

These past few months have been challenging for sure, but we are committed to staying in and serving the community. We love our customers, and we are trying to stay positive as we work our way through this tough time.

Thank you for supporting our family business over the years, we will try to hang in here as long as we can.

Beautiful weather for Charlie's Pizza car show yesterday. Great to see so many people coming out to enjoy themselves.
