A huge thank you to everyone who submitted a bull for the 2026 Southeast Highland Cattle Sale!

We received a record number of bull entries this year, and narrowing them down to just five live bulls was not an easy task. Our selection committee made their decisions based solely on the submitted photos and videos, along with each bull’s date of birth. They were not given the animals’ names, pedigrees, breeders, owners or any additional information that could influence their decisions.

We wanted the bulls selected based on what the committee could actually see in front of them: structure, development, overall quality and how they presented for their age. There were some very good bulls submitted this year, and unfortunately they simply could not all fit into five spots.

Our five handsome guys will be announced next week, and we’re excited to introduce them!

Bull and semen consignments are now closed, but we still have room for females, steers and embryos. If you have quality Highland genetics you’ve been considering consigning, there is still time to get your entries in.

Consignment information and entry forms are available at sehighlands.com.

As we patiently wait and watch, those udders are filling up! 🐮💕 The excitement is building as we get closer and closer to meeting our newest little Highland arrivals. We’re counting down the days and soaking in every moment of this special time on the farm! 🥰🐂❤️

Ott will always be a permanent fixture here at our farm. ❤️ He has given us some absolutely wonderful offspring and, more importantly, some of my most cherished memories. I’m so thankful for this special boy and all he has brought to our farm.
Although, he definitely did not appreciate my jacket with the hood up! 😂 Apparently, I was looking a little too suspicious today. The rain brought in some much cooler temperatures this afternoon, and Ott made sure I knew exactly what he thought about my hood! 🐂❤️
Some cattle just become part of your heart—and Ott is one of those special ones. 🥰

Only 23 days until we could be welcoming some brand-new babies to the farm! 🥰🐮💗
I am absolutely over the moon excited to see these sweet new arrivals and watch our mamas become moms! There’s nothing quite like the anticipation of calving season. ❤️
The countdown is officially ON! ⏰🐮✨
Stay tuned… baby Highlands are coming! 🥰

🌧️🐐 RAINY DAY? HEAD TO THE BARNS! 🐄🐑🐇

A rainy day at the Greene County Fair is the perfect time to slow down and explore the barns!

Come meet some of the animals that our hardworking exhibitors have spent months raising and caring for:

🐐 The cutest goats
🐄 The fluffiest cows
🐑 Some seriously unique lambs
🐇 And plenty of adorable bunnies!

While you’re visiting, be sure to talk to the exhibitors! Ask them about their animals, what it takes to raise them, what they’ve learned through 4-H and FFA, and what makes their animal special. You might even get the opportunity to pet a new furry friend! ❤️

Our barns are about so much more than seeing animals — they’re a chance to meet the young people who work hard all year to bring these projects to the fair.

☔ So don’t let a little rain keep you home. Come explore the barns at the Greene County Fair! 🎡🍀
