Rustic Rock Maple makes and sells Pure Certified Organic Pennsylvania Maple Syrup and Pure Certified Organic Granulated Maple Sugar from the maple trees on our own farm. After visiting a Maple Syrup open house I fell in love with the industry that very day and immediately came home to assess the thousands of maple trees on my own property. What appeals to me most about the Maple Syrup business is
that I am working right on my own farm and I am producing a product that is 100% natural, unrefined and retains the intrinsic nutritional value of the sap obtained directly from my very own maple trees. It is important to me to sustainably manage my woods and for my customers to know the exact origin of the product they bought with the Rustic Rock Maple label on it. The trees that are tapped are not harmed in any way. The sap collected is a small fraction of what the tree produces and care is taken every tapping season to be sure the health of each tree is maintained. I process my sap in small batches at a time as Mother Nature dictates. Currently I have approximately 2000 taps, process about 69,000 gallons of sap and make about 1000 gallons of Pure Maple Syrup each spring.
