The farm had its first set of twins! No mistaking who the daddy. After a couple heifer-heavy years, these are the 6th and 7th bull calves this year! That means LOTS of beef available in 2027! Cattle farming is the original slow-dough but we are about to get rolling!

MORE LAND! One of the most exciting things a farmer can ask for. We jumped from 60 to 100 acres thanks to the continued confidence and support from my dear ol’ dad. Getting into farming is pretty near impossible without family who believe in your dreams. It took three generations of hard work and prudent decisions to get me to the point where I can blow untold resources on a bunch of cows! The new piece of property integrates with and enhances the farm beautifully! We doubled our woods and our tillable acres and added a small pond to our wetland easement. Looking forward to building more soil, conserving more habitat, and housing more happy cows and pigs.

First annual Farm Feast is happening this Saturday! Fall is the best season to gather at the farm and enjoy the fruits of the year. That’s why Thanksgiving was invented! My favorite holiday also happens to be right after my birthday so we decided this weekend was the best time for a party! I’m proud to be resurrecting my grandpa’s annual Hog Roast with homegrown pork, beef and chicken. We would love to see you here! Please contact for details.

Ever since I first met her, Maggie has gone out of her way to support my farm and my various partner farms. We need more people like her, especially in restaurants where they are in a position to have a big impact. Huge thanks to Maggie, Jolly Pumpkin Brewery, and every restaurant and farm who puts in the extra work to give our local food economy such a vibrant identity.

Bags secured. You know it’s organic and local when you drive by the crops on your way up to the mill. Family farm in Portland, MI (outside Lansing) has been supplying us with Organic poultry feed for several years. Not only is it REAL Organic, its cheaper than the crap at the store AND it’s better quality. Fresh vintage of MichiGrown pristine poultry coming in December. Self-processing rates will be available.

🍎 APPLE FINISHED PORK 🍏 These guys are going through a bushel a day of local no-spray apples. They will have been stuffing their snouts with apples for 3 weeks by the time they are processed.
