Whistling Pines Ranch Suri alpacas Whistling Pines Ranch is located in the rolling hills between Clayton and Prairie Farm, Wisconsin, where we raise Suri alpacas.

Suri alpacas are prized for their rarity and elegance, but most of all for their lustrous, silky-soft fleece. We are both a breeding and fiber farm, and our focus is to ensure that each new generation is better than the parents with respect to fleece characteristics and conformation, and our goal is to maximize fleece density, fineness, and consistency on a conformationally-correct frame.

We had a great weekend at the Wisconsin and Great Midwest alpaca double-shows, highlighted by Whistling Pines Vontae's Nanuq earning the white male halter championship at both shows, and Whistling Pines Dust Devil Rage earning Best Bred & Owned male at both shows. An interesting side note: three other banner-winning animals were owned by other farms, but are offspring from sires that we own or co-own, so our barn was well represented! Congrats to the other animals.
