Now this is a knife!! 😂 OK remember how I said I wanted to take out the pith from the inside of the sunflower stalk? Because allegedly you can dehydrate it and grind it up and use it as a flower substitute? Yeah.… um...The stalk puts up a fight! Fighting like ivy over here lol!

The reason I really wanna consume this plant is because of its natural ability to heal. Other plants can heal but sunflowers heal and then thrive like nothing happened.

So I'm gonna take this sword out there and see if I can start cutting it up 😄

I harvested a bunch last year and haven't gotten around to trying to sell them. Lmk if you're interested! I have them thoroughly washed and dried, OR still "au natural," meaning they were dried still containing their sap or mucilage. These are for skin exfoliation, but can also be used for cleaning around the house. Mother Nature's scrubbie!

My first ever quick oil infusion! My oldest is having an eczema flare up and after some trials of different carrier oils and herbs, it's getting better! I tried plantain and comfrey before calendula, and oilve oil before jojoba. The winner was calendula in jojoba with a touch of Vit E drops. She wants it to remain in oil form for her use, but I could easily turn it into a salve.

I am thinking about making some basic sampler salves for people to be able to try various herbs like this to see what works for them. Like one herb per carrier oil. Thoughts?
