75 head of new steers, they are red baldy breed. That is red angus and Hereford mix.

After rye harvest we bale the straw for bedding for our cattle. To keep the straw dry from snow and rain we pile them and cover it with plastic. This stack has 250 bales in it.

We plant both soybean and corn test plots to find the most productive new varieties for our soil. Eight rows apiece in this case as we are planting our irrigated soybean plot. We’ll come back in the fall and harvest these varieties separately to see how they yield!

We just got in 80 head of Holstein steers from a dairy in Wisconsin. They weigh 650 lbs. We will feed them a ration of corn silage, wet distillers(by product of making ethanol), cracked corn and cobalancer(minerals for immunity, growth and fiber digestion). They will be ready for market come January 2021.
