Wright County Fair 2026 was a success! Long days, hard work, laughs, team work, learning, hugs, high fives, family. Those are some of the words that come to mind. We are blessed to have our sheep barn family and 4H & FFA friends! All three kids showed sheep for 4H and open class, Cameron showed pigs for 4H, and both boys showed sheep for FFA. They all pitched in to help friends show on Saturday in the open class show. Brooklyn even jumped in and showed sheep and pigs in open class!!
Highlights included:
Cameron- working hard fitting and prepping sheep, teaching newer members how to prep their animals, and big goals for next year (his last year of 4H eligibility). I'm sure having Brooklyn stay with us and dive right in to showing and going to the combine derby also make the list. Participating in the Blue Ribbon Auction with a generous donation made by Brecht Utility and Construction. Thank you, Matt Brecht and family!
Brennan- Also working hard fitting and prepping sheep and teaching newer members how to prep their animals. Grand Champion Fleece, Champion Yearling Ewe, Reserve Champion Senior Showman, Reserve Champion Lamb Lead, participating in the 4H Round Robin competition. Earning his third MN State Fair trip. Participating in the Blue Ribbon Auction with a generous donation made by Red Barn Veterinary Services. Thank you Keith Wilts & Lisa Sell!
Gracyn- Helping hand fit her show sheep and improving her overall fitting skills. Reserve Champion Ewe Lamb, Grand Champion Intermediate Showman, Reserve Champion Lamb Lead. Earning her first MN State Fair trip. Participating in the Blue Ribbon Auction with a generous donation made by Heart and Sole Farm. Thank you Michael Romanski and Chris Newman!
