Why buy pork from a local farmer?
Purchasing half or a whole pig can seem overwhelming! You may even have questions, we are here to help!
How much meat do you get?
> Our average hanging weight for a whole pig is 250lbs.
> Typically, you will get to take home about 67% of the hanging weight. If the hanging weight is 250lbs, you'll take home about 167lbs of meat.
How much freezer space will you need?
> Half a pig: 3-4 cubic feet
> Whole pig: 6-7 cubic feet
What is the cost?
> Half a pig: $200
> Whole pig: $375
> These are the prices you pay to us, processing fees are separate.
> On average the processing fees for half a pig are about $250, depending on if you have any meat smoked, seasoned, etc.
Will we like the flavor of the pork?
> We haven't had anyone say that they don't like our pork!
> Pigs that are raised on pasture have incredible flavor!

When buying meat from a local farmer you get the knowledge of knowing how that animal was treated from birth to butcher and what it ate. You also get to support a dream!
