🍺🏆 FIVE MEDALS, TWO COMPETITIONS, ONE INCREDIBLE DAY! 🏆🍺

Well, another round of homebrew competitions is in the books, and Backyard Aleworks brought home a little more hardware! 🥇🥇🥇🥉🏆

And YES… you read that correctly… FIVE medals in ONE day! 🍻

First up was Oktoberfest in October, where our b**rs made quite an impression!

🏆 Frau Nachtbier V2 – GOLD MEDAL 🥇 AND BEST OF SHOW! Our dark German Schwarzbier continues to prove she’s a force to be reckoned with!

🥇 The Valkyrie – GOLD MEDAL! Our newest creation, a historical Franconian Rotbier (German Red L***r), came out swinging and took home first place in her competition debut!

Then came the Fugetaboutit! Homebrew Competition, bringing even more good news!

🥇 Frau Nachtbier V2 – Another GOLD MEDAL! Apparently, one first-place finish just wasn’t enough for her! 😂

🥉 Jade Taniwha – BRONZE MEDAL! Our New Zealand Pilsner added another piece of hardware to the collection! Thank you AA Rod for the collaboration (Not).

And to top it all off, we earned 1st Place Heavy Medal Brewer at Oktoberfest in October!

Not a bad day’s work for a few b**rs brewed right here at home! 🍺

A huge thank-you to the competition organizers, judges, and everyone who continues to support and enjoy our Backyard Aleworks creations. There’s nothing quite like seeing all those hours of recipe development, brewing, and patience pay off!

Five medals. Two competitions. One very happy homebrewer!

Cheers to the next batch and whatever comes next! 🍻🏆

🍺🎃🔥 HAPPY FRIDAY, MY THIRSTY FRIENDS! 🔥🎃🍺

Just checking in on our latest creation from Backyard Aleworks — PATCH BURNER! 🌶️🍺

And let me tell you… this brew is wasting NO time! Fermentation is racing toward the finish line, and it’s practically begging to get into that keg for some carbonation and a little fiery flavoring! 🔥

With roasted pumpkin, Saigon cinnamon, and a spicy pepper kick waiting in the wings, this one is shaping up to be a little sweet, a little heat, and a whole lot of trouble! 😈🌶️

🎃 PATCH BURNER is headed to Mashgiving at Southern Lights on November 14th, where it’ll be ready to turn up the heat!

But hey… who says you have to wait until Mashgiving to get your hands on this brew? 😉 If you’d like a bottle or two, hit me up as we get closer to bottling time. You just might get lucky! 🍻

Until then… STAY THIRSTY, MY FRIENDS, AND DON’T LET THAT PINT RUN DRY! 🍺🔥

🎃🔥 Happy Friday, thirsty friends! 🍺

This weekend means one thing around here… BREW DAY!

And we’ve got something special coming for the fall season. That’s right — it’s finally time to brew “PATCH BURNER” 🎃🔥🍺

Fresh roasted pumpkin, a little brown-sugar caramelization, and eventually just enough 🔥 to give this pumpkin ale its name.

This batch is headed straight for a special event, but if you can’t make it, don’t worry… hit me up and I’m sure I can find a sample or two with your name on it. 😉🍻

Stay thirsty, my friends… and never let that pint run dry! 🍺

Well, you didn’t think I’ve been sleeping on the job, did you? 🍺😂

Not thinking about new b**r ideas? Wondering what Backyard Aleworks has up its sleeve for the fall and winter season?

Oh, we’ve been thinking… and brewing up a few ideas. 🍁❄️🔥

So, my thirsty friends, here’s a little taste of what we have in store as the weather cools down and the taps heat up. Some old favorites, some brand-new creations, and maybe a few surprises along the way.

The Backyard Aleworks fall & winter lineup is coming… 🍺🍂❄️

Stay thirsty, my friends — and don’t let that pint run dry! 🍻

Well, there we go again… 🏅🍺

Competition season is heating back up as we head toward the end of 2026, and Backyard Aleworks has another winner!

We decided to let our New Zealand Pilsner, “Jade Taniwha,” venture out into the world and see what the judges thought. Apparently, everyone here wasn’t just being nice… she brought home some hardware! 🏆🇳🇿🍻

Not bad for her first trip to the competition table!

Stay thirsty, my friends… and don’t let that pint run dry. 🍺

09/05/2026

We’ve been thinking about what we could bring to the sharing table this holiday season… and I think we finally figured it out. 🍺🎃🔥

Bring on the “Patch Burner” — a little holiday cheer with just enough fire to keep things interesting!

Something wicked is brewing at Backyard Aleworks… 🔥🎃🍺

Stay thirsty, my friends… and don’t let that pint run dry! 🍻

🌙🍺 TOMORROW… DARKNESS RETURNS TO THE BREWHOUSE. 🍺🌙

Another brew day is upon us, and this time we’re summoning an old favorite from the shadows…

🖤 NIGHTSHADE DUNKEL 🖤

This dark and mysterious l***r has been very good to Backyard Aleworks, bringing home EIGHT MEDALS so far. 🏅🏅🏅

And the last time Nightshade stepped before the judges?

🔥 48 OUT OF 50! 🔥
Just TWO POINTS SHY OF A PERFECT SCORE AND A PERFECT B**R!

So tomorrow we fire up the kettle, awaken the brewing spirits, and see if we can conjure that magic one more time. 🌙✨🍺

If this batch follows in the footsteps of the ones before it, Nightshade will emerge from its l***ring slumber just in time for the fall season—when cool nights, dark b**r, and a little mystery belong together. 🍂🌙

Here’s hoping Batch Day brings us another medal-worthy Nightshade.

Darkness Perfected. 🖤🍺

🚀 TRANSMISSION RECEIVED FROM HOUSTON… 👨‍🚀🍺

After a long journey through the outer limits of the homebrew universe, a new piece of hardware touched down at Backyard Aleworks today! 🛸🏅

Our Rice Popper – Amber Rice L***r made the trip to Houston and came home with some serious space hardware. And we have to say… this might be one of the coolest medals we’ve ever received.

The astronaut. The lunar landscape. The LR32 “Brew For All” design. They absolutely knocked this one out of orbit. 🌙🚀

We’re incredibly excited to finally have it in hand today and even happier that Rice Popper represented Backyard Aleworks so well in Houston.

Houston, we have a medal. 🏅🍺👨‍🚀

08/17/2026

Well, I may have come away empty-handed in the medal count this weekend, but I’m happy to say our collaboration brew between Backyard Buddha Brewery and Backyard Aleworks brought home some hardware! 🍺🏅

This same b**r also made the trip to Tallahassee Brewfest, where it was met with lots of great feedback and comments from everyone who stopped by for a pour.

Always fun to see a collaboration come together, and even better when people enjoy what’s in the glass. Cheers to a successful collab! 🍻
