Enjoy some turkey noises. There's quite a few males in this group... May have to pass some along.

I don't train birds. She keeps following me so she can bite my fingers. But.. Close enough

Hey ya'll, wanted to get some opinions as I close up the turkeys season until next year!

*still have poults available in Cleburne, pm for more info!*

But as I get the holdouts grown, I do have questions so I can better handle my next year and provide more of a wonderful color assortment!

First: what color turkey do you prefer? Royal palm, slate? Or perhaps sweetgrass, chocolate? How about the lesser known colors like blue-red bronze, or the mottled variations of slate and black? Would you be interested if I am expanding into red-type coloring? (bourbon red / bourbon buff, jersey buff)

Second: How important is it to acquire hens? Would you prefer to see more sex-link colors that can get you a guaranteed hen? Even if they were at a heavier 💵?

They finally cut the fields as the babies can be let out. These two poults are the oldest grow outs I have from the season. Lavender and rusty brown coloration.

I bought a new waterer. I don't think they appreciate this change and they were treating it as a threat for a whole hour..

Feeder on the ground: ignored. On the Brick? Most popular item of the month!

When the poults get older they start showing off more tom-like characteristics. While any turkey can strut, only Tom's can truly gobble, and young Jake's will gobble by time they're a couple months old!

Whats more soothing than baby bird chirps as they eat?
