Meet Odin!

We’re so excited to introduce the newest member of our farm family — Odin, our 14-week-old Akbash puppy!

Odin is already settling in beautifully and will grow into his role as a livestock guardian dog here on the farm. With his calm nature, sweet spirit, and those big puppy paws, he’s already stealing hearts — and scouting out the best napping spots. 😄

For now, he’s learning the ropes, making friends (both human and animal), and soaking in all the new sights, sounds, and smells. One day soon, he’ll be watching over the farm with the quiet confidence this amazing breed is known for.

Welcome home, Odin — we’re so glad you’re here. Thank you for this wonderful sweet boy!

We have some visitors hanging out on the farm for a little while. So we get to love on some horses without the cost of actually owning a horse 🤣

Rosie finally decided to have her calf this evening. Thankfully everything went smoothly and she delivered this beautiful bull calf with no problems... Beside having Kevin be annoying (he was removed quickly). Welcome to the world little guy, we have been impatiently waiting for you!

Soaking up the sunshine! ☀️ After all the snow and cold, we’re finally getting some warm weather, and the animals are loving it. The cows are basking, the chickens are scratching, and we’re all just enjoying a little taste of spring. Who else is ready for more days like this?

It's getting closer to spring! The chickens had their first frog chase of the season 🤣

Genius or just a little crazy? You decide! 🐔✨

Every night on our farm, we do a roll call for our 50+ free-ranging chickens to make sure everyone made it back to the coop safely. To make life easier (and avoid trying to count the same chicken twice because they’re always moving!), I created this checklist. Now we know exactly who’s there and who might still be out having an adventure—or sitting on a hidden nest.

A couple of fun facts:
1️⃣ The name of the coop comes from the TV show New Girl.
2️⃣ Yes, every single chicken has a name, and my daughter and I can tell them all apart.
