Sometimes the hardest thing to do is let go of what used to be.
In Florida citrus, old groves eventually stop producing. Trees age. Disease spreads. Productivity falls. And sometimes the only way forward is through a controlled burn.
At first glance, it looks like loss.
But something remarkable happens afterward. The ash returns nutrients to the soil. Sunlight reaches the ground again. New growth emerges. What looked like destruction becomes the beginning of restoration.
There’s a lesson in that.
Whether you’re growing a grove, a business, a family, or your own life, there are seasons when pruning isn’t enough. Sometimes something old must end before something new can begin.
