👀 Incubator Member Sighting Alert!

We love seeing our Incubator members out in the community doing what they do best! Over the weekend, we spotted VeganVybez holding it down at the Waterloo Vegan Market and IslandCookingAtHome bringing the flavor to the Kamm's Corner Farmers Market.

It’s amazing to see our talented food entrepreneurs sharing their creations, connecting with customers, and representing The Central Kitchen in Cleveland!

If you see them at a market near you, be sure to stop by, say hello, and grab something delicious.

🙌 Support local. Support Incubator businesses. Support good food.

We don’t play “flavorites” when it comes to ice cream, but our friends Mason's Creamery know how to bring the flavor game with small batch varieties like ube (pictured here) black sesame, French toast, and stroopwaffle. They have also recently partnered up with as their official ice cream partner for 2022 and since they have been an amazing supporter of the community since their launch it only makes sense that they are going to use this partnership to bring sweet treats to the The City of Ohio’s mission of connecting Clevelanders with athletic opportunities! Which of their flavors is your favorite? 🍨⚽️

Doozy Pots Turns 3!

On May 4th 2019 Wonderlab's Doozy Pots sold their very first cups of gelato on a freezing, rainy day at a market here in Cleveland. They may not have had the best weather, but they had all the love, support and ambition as well as curious customers who wanted to try the first ice cream made with h**p milk.

With just a team of two, handpacking their pints late into the night in our incubator kitchen as well as scaling and growing their community, Doozy Pots has grown from their first local launch Heinen's to national retailers like Sprouts Farmers Market and Erewhon Market 🛒🛒🛒

This is what it’s all about, and we couldn’t be happier for them! Congrats, friends! Happy Birthday! 🍨🌱

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do.”
-Steve Jobs

Barry Jarvis, our in-house Chef & Co-Manufacturing Director, along with David Miller, our Director of Education & Community Engagement truly have a passion for our and what they do. Chef Barry grew up on his grandparents farm and spent 15 years as an Environmental Scientist as well as becoming a classically trained chef, so you can say that food and science have always been his thing.

David has a strong mentorship background, he thrives working with start-up businesses to provide support and knowledge and serves as a liaison with community organizations and individuals alike. He loves cooking and inspiring others to be the best version of themselves. We are so grateful for both of them and all they do!

At the beginning of the pandemic, local farms were thriving. With shortages, restrictions and mandates, many people chose to find alternative ways to get their food. Support of crops and offerings via community-supported agriculture (CSA’s) were connecting farmers to their customers with the security of knowing where their food comes from. But as we continue in a post-pandemic society, consumers are going back to their old habits, and farms are once again in trouble.
