Jemima Puddleduck is one of our Muscovies and is the proud mother of a brood of ten. She is attentive and is a force to be reckoned with if she catches anyone messing with her littles.

Interestingly, Muscovies aren’t technically ducks even though they are commonly called ducks and they look very similar. Unlike ducks, they have red caruncles that grow on their faces, they hiss like geese, and they like to roost at night like chickens!

Good morning from the Pekin Sisters! ☀️

We currently have four beautiful female Pekin ducks. They look like they could be straight from a children’s storybook! These girls like to stick together throughout the day as they splash in their pools or take afternoon naps in the shade. Our ladies will start laying in a couple of months and we hope to occasionally have duck eggs to sell!

Introducing The Little Acre That Could!

In March of 2023, we started out with just 5 chickens, but as they say… chicken math 😂 (it’s real) and now… just a few short months later.. we have 22 chickens, 16 ducks, 2 turkeys, and more eggs than we know what to do with! Neither my husband nor I grew up doing anything farm related so this is totally new for us! We are an adventurous family that likes to try new things and take on exciting projects from time to time. We hope to expand our flock over the next few years and have additional product offerings in the future. In the meantime, if you’re interested in buying local farm fresh eggs or just want to see what we’re up to from week to week, give us a follow! We’d love to bring you along with us on our journey as we grow and explore all of the things we can do with our Little Acre 😉.
