For centuries, local people have been harvesting açaí from palm trees that grow along the banks of the Amazon River. Our efforts assist family farmers and protect 2 million acres of the Amazon Rainforest. We do this by giving back to the community of farmers and protecting the biodiversity of the Amazon as we serve this delicious, nutritious superfood to the wider world. With every purchase, a customer makes a positive impact on the planet and contributes to the preservation of the Amazon Rainforest. These purchases help our team support support 20,000 family farmers in Brazil by building schools and medical facilities in local communities and providing clean drinking water. Additionally, acai berries are 80-90% seed but not a single seed is wasted. Each seed is either hand crafted by local women’s co-ops into beautiful jewelry that they sell for income, are used in factory to power their broilers, or are donated to local brick and tile makers to fuel their furnaces so they need less wood which protects the rainforest from deforestation.
