What a wild ride the past thirty years have been! I will say losing a lung to cancer and then breaking my dominant arm last October and having over six months of rehab was not on my bingo list!

Three weeks out from another cancer surgery and I am set to open my new cafe at the end of this month!

Not necessarily the way I planned but what in life is? At least for me , it has been to worry about the present and prepare for the future. I don’t have a DeLorean so no need to revisit the past. What would I change anyways? Who knows why things happen but the only control we truly have is how we handle it. That and I got bangs and adopted a senior dog, as one does when they are rebuilding a career with one foot in anxiety and one in positivity!

I look forward to sharing more when I have more to share! I do however have to submit a menu! After thirty years I guess the old chalkboard menu of daily “ what’s in season “ are days of old. Will be a lot more accessible and I am happy to offer a better experience for all of you! Opa!

Thank you for all the messages and support. I can’t explain how much it helps me and how I always believe, we are better united in love than anything else. Humans have the capacity of great empathy and compassion and when we share that the human race is capable of amazing things. We are all connected, especially when the world seems the darkest.

I thought I was done with cancer and it isn’t done yet. It has come back in at Stage four and spreading. The treatment is scary but not as bad as the alternative. Thar is life thought isn’t it? The hardest things in life have been the most rewarding in my life. I was on my own at 17 sleeping on floors and never would think I would make it. I have surpassed any dream I have ever had. Now my dream is more time.

I think God allowed me to find this new tumor to say “ hey hot pants, slow down, before you start to run again you missed this tumor”. If we can train our brains to see something good in the worst possible experiences… well I believe we can inspire others with HOPE. I believe our thoughts can open opportunities or release them into the universe for someone who is ready. I always say , this is hard, this is bad but it is only a moment in time.

I still have much to learn and experience and so much love to give. I have dogs to hug and sunshine to be in awe of. Some days I feel great and then I remember I have cancer. Perhaps the way we treat others when they get a diagnosis, ignore them, stop asking them out, judging them on treatment choices and life decisions, maybe that is why the mortality rate is so low!

In complete Anna style of purpose over profit and people I want to change that. I am moving ahead with the support of the person who brought me my dream location, and opening at the end of August. I am looking for anyone who is battling whatever has slowed you down to be a part of my new cafe. One of healing and love and laughter. If you have a few hours I have a place for you to come and work and most importantly be seen. We don’t disappear because our bodies slowed down, because we got the short end of the stick. It is just beginning because we now know how precious
