Here is the Croissant Loaf!! Not quite an actual croissant, but if you’d like soft sourdough goodness with your butter already in it where it melts in your mouth… then I’ve got you 😆 I might have finished one of these small loaves in a very short amount of time last time I made them… so don’t feel too bad if it disappears before dinner. I mean who needs dinner anyways 🤷‍♀️

Apparently walking into this is “not fair”… we wish we had smell-o-vision for all of you 🤤 Bake Day got off to a beautiful and scrumptious start today!! Also… apparently I am now making pretzels… maybe.. if I actually remember what I’m up to in the middle of pulling things out of the oven 😆

It’s MIXING day!! Did you know that sourdough takes days… and days… that’s what gets you that yummy sour taste… the sllllow process. I often have people say how they just don’t have the patience, and honestly that’s why I like doing so much of it at once. Making 2-3 loaves can be tedious, so why not make 50!

A a part of my deepening my flavors has been going away from the traditional inclusions where I folded them in at the end, and now flavoring all my dough while it’s in the fermentation stage. It helps give you that flavor in every bite. It means a lot more work up front, however it’s been great not rushing those inclusions at the end… usually at 12AM 🤦‍♀️ plus for flavor, plus for work life balance, at least that’s what I’ll keep telling myself at hour 8….

And now it’s time for another set of stretching and folding…. Iykyk☺️

Opening Day at Peerless Road Market!

We’re back at Peerless Road today with fresh sourdough, soft breads, cinnamon rolls, jams, and canned goods.

Road note: Peerless is blocked at 25th Street, so come in from Raider Drive to get to the market.

We’ll have sourdough artisan loaves, savory breads, dessert sourdough, soft honey bread, cinnamon raisin, cinnamon rolls, jams, cranberry orange sauce, and more.

There will also be a great lineup of vendors with fresh produce, crochet items, freeze-dried goodies, Black Angus beef, rugs, herbals, and more.

It’s the start of my 3rd market season and myself and my family are ready with all the yummy sourdough and fresh jam! We will be at the Bradley County Farmers Market every Saturday from 7am-12pm!

A little about us: When we moved here my husband was desperate for some true sour sourdough. With it just having been 2020, I had a starter and just started experimenting. I love flavor and I love cooking, and soon I found I could combine both and make some good bread. What we have for you is the kind of sourdough we grew up with in the San Francisco Bay Area, often thought of as the birth place of modern sourdough. I promise, we gladly left everything else about CA there. I just love people and through my bread, if I can brighten your home and your table, that’s all the blessing I need. I am so grateful for my community that’s pushed me and helped me take this hobby into a passion business and I’m so grateful to serve you! We’d love to see you at our sweet family farmer’s market ❤️

Display changes coming!! Compliments of the official Sourdough Grunt. We put my name on this business because it was coming from my kitchen, but the mirco homestead and everything else is not possible with my grunt and his minions. My wonderful crates have gotten us through 2 years of business, but they are definitely wearing down. Being the super resourceful man he is, my grunt pulled wood being stored on our covered porch and is turning it into new rustic display shelves. What’s even more cool, is the wood came from trees our previous neighbors had milled from their yard!!! Can’t wait to see the final product Saturday!!! 🥰

TRAFFIC ALERT: Beginning 9am Wednesday, June 3, 2026, Peerless Road at 25th Street will be closed. The detour route is to use Keith Street, please see map. The closure is expected to last until early August.

This project is funded by the America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and administered by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). This road closure is necessary for the the relocation/replacement of a main water line, and the replacement and extension of a culvert at the intersection of Peerless and 25th Street.
