Sunshine fills northeast Ohio again this morning. Lake Iver Boone has returned home, getting comfortable with his herd once again. Earlier this week, some calves were relocated for weaning, while young heifers were moved to avoid the bull. Everyone has adjusted to their new environment, and tranquility has been restored.

She has a name!
Meet Morning Star Maille (Molly). This Celtic name means Pearl, which is special because that was her granddam's name.

It was a cloudy weekend but I was able to capture a couple good photos of the cows.

We've had lots of great help doing chores on the farm this past week. Feeding cows, chicken and goats. We even did a little vet work.

Morning Star ReubenJCogburn (aka Roger That) will be moving to his new home this weekend. That means it's weaning time for him and his momma. I know they don't work for everyone but the quiet wean tab works for us on our farm. I'm sure our neighbors appreciate it too.
