Finish ๐Ÿ: To***co, Berries, and butterscotch all over! This maybe one of the longest finishes we have had

Palate ๐Ÿ‘…: Buttery mouthfeel that is caramel apple up front ๐ŸŽ, hazelnut, warm vanilla, cinnamon spice and dark brown sugar

A sticky toffee pudding in a ๐Ÿฅƒ ๐Ÿ’ฏ
If there was a great summer pour, this is it! At 105 proof it has absolutely no heat and an enjoyable easy sipper.

This ~6YR OC bourbon is aged in an ex-honey cask that brings velvety mouthfeel and fresh bakery nose! The honey ๐Ÿฏ has evolved into more of caramelized toffee note.

Nose๐Ÿ‘ƒ: When you walk in a bakery, warm vanilla and caramel, orange marmalede, barrel char

Taste ๐Ÿคค: the first sip instantly reminds you of sticky toffee pudding. It has the same rich texture of melted toffee, and the warmth of buttery hot cake. It then transitions to remind you of itโ€™s bourbon characteristics with notes of oak, some spice, stone fruit, cigar to***co and a kiss of honey at the end.

We can confidently say this is one of the more unique Honey finishes we have had and a reason why this Kentucky Nectar barrels are so rare and allocated barrels.

Both OF barrels are from TOP FLOOR of the Rickhouse which is often called the โ€œGoldilocks Zoneโ€

Blue Label J-Top Floor: Coming in just shy of 135proof, this is not your typical โ€œHotโ€ OF SB. This starts of as a creamy vanilla up front that transitions into orchard fruits, pecan, baking spice, and then thick melted caramel at the back.

Black Label J-Top Floor: is straight up buttery chocolate covered banana waffers that lingers with touch of rum like sweetness.

Here is something that blew us away: when you mix the black and blue label together: it is straight up Banana Foster with caramel drizzle in a glass๐ŸŒ๐Ÿจ๐Ÿคค

These are not your typical OF barrel. The team picked unique bangers ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Nose ๐Ÿ‘ƒ: Sweet Oak, Orange, tons of Caramel & Vanilla, dried fruits, toasted barrel char

This pour is so complex on the palate that we will have to break it down as it keeps dancing around your palate:

Front Palate ๐Ÿ‘…: Initial burst of blackberry, orange marmalade, Green Apple candy, Cherry syrup.

Mid palate ๐Ÿคค: Super balanced and rich Oak, suuuper oily molasses type viscosity Caramel chew, brown sugar, vanilla, Raisins

Finish ๐Ÿ: Long finish with sweet oak, pepper spice and great Kentucky hug.

This 18yr is a complex pour and how it should be for the age. The viscosity shows up and tells us why more than half the barrel was lost in aging ๐Ÿฅƒ๐Ÿฅƒ
