We harvested these salad greens six days ago and had a bag left over after our market.
Our giant farm mascot, Steve, definitely approves of the crunchiness almost a week after harvest. No waste here!!
We’ll be harvesting more salad mix tomorrow for the Saturday market in Billings!
Steve says that you humans should get some crunch in your lives too! Ahhh! 🐢

Getting ready for our first market of the season. We’ll have lots of plant starts- herbs, perennials, pollinator plants and one gallon dahlias! We also have the first few bouquets of the season. (Still waiting for soooo many blooms, but we have a few!)
We will also have beautiful salad greens mix this week!

We were in the path of the crazy hailstorms here in Southwest Missouri this week. I was away from the farm (a rarity) and had to ride out the storm in my car under a tree. My little grocery getter car has some new dimples but amazingly I didn’t lose any glass. We had huge hail here at the farm but amazingly, most of our crops came through just fine. A few cabbage and lettuces lost, we were SO lucky it wasn’t worse.
Missouri weather can be bonkers!

We are getting ready for our first market of the season on May 2. We will be at the Billings Missouri Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.
The market is located on Highway 60 next to city hall! We will have vegetable and perennial plant starts, and beautiful salad greens the first week. Very soon we will have heaps of flowers and more fresh produce!
We are also working on our on-farm stand where you can purchase our fresh farm eggs as well as produce, flowers and herbs.
Looking forward to an abundant growing season here in Southwest Missouri! ❤️🌱
